Greetings Stephenson Family,
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the second annual Stephenson High School Math Carnival. Thank you for coming out to support our scholars and their teachers in their efforts to make math engaging and practical. The scholars have worked hard to create games which demonstrate their knowledge of mathematics.
Thank you for taking the time out of your weekend to support the scholars and sit in the parent sessions. These workshops are designed to provide information to help you improve your child’s academic success at Stephenson and beyond. This year we have invited individuals to share information regarding finances. Today’s sessions will focus on information that will help your scholar better prepare for Georgia Milestone Testing, become more independent learners, and become college ready.
Additionally, this year we have invited experts from the community in hopes of making our scholars more financially savvy. I would like to extend a very special thank you to Jason Ford of Primerica, Moise Piram of Mass Mutual, and Anthony Johnson of GEICO of Duluth for their presentations. According to the Urban Institute,“The economic health of cities and communities depends on the financial health and stability of their residents.”1 Your attendance at today’s fair demonstrates your commitment to providing a stable lifestyle for your children.
